Our Story

I am a Childcare Practitioner with BA Hons in Childhood Studies. I had dedicated 25 years to Childcare and worked in numerous settings, such as schools, Private Day Nurseries and Montessori Nursery Schools after qualifying as a Montessori Practitioner. During this time, this is where the Creative side of me took form. Unfortunately due to my chronic illness-Type 1 Diabetes, it became increasingly difficult for me to work full time within this field. Therefore after 25 years I decided to retire from my Childcare Career, which i was very passionate about and took the decision to work from home alongside my husband within the family construction business. This gave me the flexibility and the time to control my Diabetes and concentrate on staying healthy. But something was missing, I still wanted to be creative and missed making art like I did in my Childcare career as a type of outlet to relax me. I then decided I wanted to create beautiful things for beautiful people and their fur babies-Pet(s).

During this time, I met my gorgeous cat Mylo, who was a stray and we became bonded and on the advice of the vet, I was asked to put up posts about Mylo on a few social media groups to see if an owner came forward. If no owner came forward, i was allowed to adopt him after 3 weeks. I was able to adopt Mylo, It has been 5 years and we've never looked back. Mylo is my inspiration and driving force behind our small business. I strongly believe that all animals and pets are deserving of a good home and a good life.

£1 from every sale from Mylo's Little Shop is donated to animals and pet charities, such as Four Paws, Cats Protection And Dog's Trust.
